Leaders of the 28 EU member states, including the President of Romania, met in Brussels yesterday for a summit that was dominated by the refugee crisis and the conflict in Syria.
Prior to the European Council meeting, Klaus Iohannis also met with the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz. The two approached issues such as migration and Romania's accession to the Schengen Area. The European high official made it clear that Romania belongs to the Schengen space, Klaus Iohannis pointed out.
