Hydrologists have issues a code orange of floods on Danube River, on the Gruia downstream sector, upstream of Giurgiu, in Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, and Giurgiu counties, starting Thursday morning, until March 31.
According to the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management, Gruia sector is guarded against floods through embankment works.
Between March 24 at 6PM and March 31 at 6PM , there will be a code orange warning of floods on the Danube River on the Harsova sector, and in the Delta, in Constanta, Braila and Tulcea counties.
Between March 21, 3PM and March 31, 6PM, the whole area of the Danube River will be under a code yellow of floods downstream of SHEN, the Iron Gates, Mehedinţi, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călăraşi, Ialomiţa, Brăila, Galaţi, Constanţa and Tulcea counties.
Hydrologists are declaring: according to current information, we do not foresee any problems on the Danube, but a close monitoring of the situation is needed”.
