It has been known for a long time that great fashion houses make their clothes in factories from Romania. The cheap labor force and the quality of work, placed the Romanians on the map of fashion industry.

The clothes that are sold in luxury stores around the world passed first through the hands of domestic seamstresses. Thus, in Moda Arad they have made clothes that the Duchess of Cambridge has worn repeatedly.

The Italians from the D&G came to Arad as well and produced collections which they later sold everywhere in the world . Although salaries range from 1000-1500 lei a month, people are not keen to join the industry.

And that because "nobody cuts off work", says Monica Fufezan, general director of Moda Arad.

Thus, young people who have just graduated prefer to go work in shopping centers, where wages are much lower, but "the program is easy."

Over the time, the Arad company worked for the Germans from Betty Barclay, Bernd Berger, Hensel & Mortensen, Hauber, Marc Cain, Lodenfrey and Windsor. Currently, the factory is tailoring coats, jackets and raincoats for German woman.
