After a smashing vote against the impeached president, Mihai Gâdea and his guests have made public, during Sunday evening's edition of the Sinteza Zilei talkshow, a document that might set a different way for the referendum.

Dan Şova presented a document issued by the National Statistics Institute (NSI) which shows how the cvorum for the dismissal of the president should be calculated.

Liviu Dragnea made an official request from the NSI for the provisory population inhabiting Romania.

After the latest census in Romania, the country's population is 19.042.936. To this number the number of Romanian citizens living abroad is added, the final result being 20.254.866. The NSI is mentioning in the same document that the percentage of Romanian population under the age of 18 was, on January, 1st, 2011, 18,31%, meaning 3.726.895 persons. This means that, after a simple operation of subtraction, at the time of the referendum there were 16.527.971 people with the right to vote in Romania.

Half of the number of people with the right to vote - the necessary cvorum to dismiss president Traian Băsescu is 8.265.685 persons. According to the Central Electoral Office, 8.429.265 persons voted at the referendum thus the necessary cvorum being fulfilled.

But according to Mihai Gâdea there may be no need for the earlier mentioned number because Traian Băsescu made a promise - if there was only ONE vote against him he would leave.
