Dacia sales in the EU increased by over 26% this year

Dacia car sales recorded in January-November 2014, a significant increase in Europe and the market share of the domestic car manufacturer increased from 2.3% to 2.8%.

The numbers were provided by  the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) and were published on Tuesday, according to Agerpres.

Dacia car registrations in Europe were estimated in the first 11 months of the year, to 335,363 units, up by 26.4% compared to January-November 2013 (265,302 vehicles).



German car sales of Volkswagen and Daimler groups increased by 7.3% and 2.4% respectively, the deliveries of French groups Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen by  13.8%, respectively, 3.7% and Ford by  5, 2%.

In November 2014 27,710 Dacia cars were registered in Europe (EU plus EFTA), an advance of 11.2% over the same period in 2013, when registrations stood at 24,922 vehicles.

Last month, the Renault supplies rose by 3.9%, while PSA Peugeot Citroen and Ford reported a decline of 2.9% and 5.5%. Volkswagen and Daimler German automotive groups reported an advance of 2.5% and respectively 4.8%.

The statistics target the  automotive markets in 29 European countries, of which 26 are from the European Union without Malta and the three countries participating in the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA), namely Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
