A new oil and gas reservoir has been discovered in Romania. It is the largest discovery in the last 30 years in the Muntenia region. The deposit was discovered by two oil companies in the southern county of Buzau at a depth of 2,500 meters.
The discovery is located at about 7-12 miles from the mature fields operated for over 50 years.
In the following period, the two companies announced that they will continue testing to determine the production potential of the discovery and will conduct acquisition campaigns of seismic data in the region to continue this successful line.
