Antena 3 is again found in  the world elite of television stations. Our television station is nominated for the 35th edition of the  Emmy Awards (International Emmy Awards) and will be present at the ceremony to be held on  September 30, 2014 in New York (Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards Ceremony).

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced today that  Antena 3, with the footage the  "Long journey home", made by the team of the "Premiere with  Carmen Avram" show, has been nominated in the  "Current Affairs" cetegory. 

The "Long journey home" documentary film, winner of two Gold World Medals at New York Festivals of World's Best Television & Film 2014  in the categories Biography / Profiles and Current Affairs, was made  by Denisa Morariu (reporter), Cristian Tamas (cameraman), Liviu Dochiţa (cameraman), Mihai Dina (cameraman) and Adrian Robe (editing). The report tells the story of Petrică Câşlaru, the  boy who grew up in the horror camp from Siret. He summoned the courage to return to Romania after 16 years, to meet the man who saved his life in an orphanage and to seek his mother.

Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 


In the categories "Current Affairs" and "News" we find  eight stations nominated  from eight countries on four continents, reads the press release of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. These countries are: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Romania, Russia, Philippines and the UK.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which awards the Emmys, is the largest organization in the world, with members from over 60 countries and 500 companies in the media industry. Founded after World War II, the Academy aims to promote television and high-class journalism, journalists who  irrespective of risks, follow their calling.

Mihai Gâdea, producer of the Daily Summary specified that the Emmy nomination represents and incredible satisfaction.

In her turn, Carmen Avram stated for the Tuesday edition of the Daily Summary show that she is extremely happy for the nomination.

Also, Denisa Morariu, reporter of the Premiere show on Antena 3, who contributed significantly to the making of the "Long journey home"  film said  that the Emmy nominated story " has  remained in our  hearts and changed our life. "
