Following the broadcast of the story by the "Premiere show with Carmen Avram," about the lives of children with cancer and the lack of necessary equipment for diagnosis and treatment at the Oncology Institute of Bucharest, the Ministry of Health reacted.
Carmen Moses "The Premiere" reporter who made the report, says: "Immediately after the broadcast of the story , the authorities response was prompt. Only a few days after, the Ministry of Health has approved the purchase of equipment that will allow the sedation of children during radiotherapy, and of the MRI device.
Moreover, they will introduce again, after a 10 years break, the specialty of Pediatric Oncology in the curriculum of the Medical School and they are seeking solutions so that the nurses working in this sector should benefit from wage increases. Sure, these things will not happen overnight. But I hope with all my heart, that they will happen and that they should not be influenced by any changes or political decisions. These children's lives should not depend on it. "
Carmen Moses added that for her the successful completion of all these promises would be the greatest professional achievement.
