The decision was taken by prosecutor Adina Petrescu, from the Criminal investigation Section of the PICCJ.
Adina Petrescu served for a year as state secretary in the Boc Government. He took her from the position of spokesperson of DNA and appointed her as head of the Anti-Fraud Department in March 2009.
She was changed from office by the same Emil Boc, in August 2010, and she returned to DNA. In 2013, Adina Petrescu migrated to the Prosecutor General office, section II. In this capacity she has suspended the blackmail case against President Traian Basescu.
Adina Petrescu also worked in the past for businessman Puiu Popoviciu, a close friend of Traian Basescu.
