The Parliament rejected on Tuesday, setting up a commission to investigate Traian Basescu's statements about the undercover officer among the presidential candidates.
In this respect, the Chamber of Deputies chairman, Valeriu Zgonea, said Monday that a parliamentary committee on the undercover officer topic cannot be established because Basescu made a political statement.
President Băsescu has recently stated that some of the candidates for the Presidency have not fully completed their resumes, because they have to state whether they were or not undercover officers and he has specified that if this is not done, then he will do it himself, pointing out that it is not fair to take on such a high office "holding both control buttons".
The Foreign Intelligence Service argues that they do not have undercover agents in the Government, Parliament and the judiciary.
