Crin Antonescu: The USL exists, the protocol is not suspended, nor canceled nor terminated

The president of the National Liberal Party, Crin Antonescu, co-chair of the Social Liberal Union said Tuesday that the Union’s protocol was still in force, it was nor terminated nor canceled Agerpres reports.

'' The USL exists, the protocol is neither suspended nor canceled, it is an official document, the statute of the alliance as long as the Union exists. This protocol has not been terminated and it is still in force. The Prime Minister’s idea (...) that he has publically communicated, about his intention and the PSD’s intention to hold talks, to re-negotiate . I do not think so. Of course, we are available for talks. I do not think that we need to discuss a renegotiation of the protocol because I am not aware of any provision that would be questioned. If we mean to add something (...) obviously will make ourselves available to our colleagues for talks, " Crin Antonescu said Tuesday at the Parliament House.

‘One thing is for sure that the USL’s fate is not being questioned, as far as we are concerned. (...) Because the USL, besides the commitments taken, also means a stability guarantee and a perspective for Romania. It is way too big a stake to have it questioned. (...) The PM’s desire to add some more provisions – it is possible at any time, I even have some ideas myself’, the PNL leader said.
