Dan Voiculescu says it would be unfair that Traian Băsescu should not pay for all the harm which he has done to Romania .
He argues that he does not know the one who has filed the complaint against the former president, but that he does congratulate him on his courage.

" It would be outrageous that Basescu should not be held accountable for his deception", Dan Voiculescu wrote on his blog.

Traian Băsescu must be held accountable for all the harm he has incurred to this country, Dan Voiculescu argues after Traian Băsescu has been summoned more and more often to appear before the general prosecution.

" I do not know the one who has filed a complaint against Pinochio, but I congratulate him. It would be outrageous that Băsescu should not be held accountable for being deceptive and for all the harm he has incurred on this country", Dan Voiculescu writes.

Dan Voiculescu recalls that the suspension of 2007 brought another important first for Romania. The suspension from office of Claudiu Săftoiu, director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, after only five months in office, after he admitted that the service had made illegal interceptions.
"During the period when I was President of the Inquiry Commission related to the suspension of Traian Basescu - which led among other things to the dismissal of Claudiu Saftoiu as a director of SIE - I understood, once again, how much harm this person could incur on Romania" , wrote Dan Voiculescu on his blog.

Claudiu Săftoiu tried to exculpate himself, sending a letter to Dan Voiculescu, who was the chairman of the parliamentary inquiry commission on President Traian Basescu.

Following the media scandal, but also at the request of the entire political class on 19 March 2007 Elwis Claudiu Saftoiu resigned as head of SIE.
