One 1% of the world population owns a fortune approximately the size of the rest of 99%. The main cause of this discrepancy is the overproduction, Dan Voiculescu writes on his personal blog.
Lawyer Gheorghe Piperea believes that with the reduction in food prices, people will buy more with the same money, and this will lead to increased consumption and will be reflected in the economy.
Dan Voiculescu warned about the consumption recovery need since 2005 when he started promoting the reduction of VAT on basic foods. This measure will come into effect on 1 June and food prices would fall by over 10%, economists say.
