PC President Daniel Constantin has said in a press conference that both the party he represents and the entire political class understand that "we have to change the way we relate to the electorate".
Constantin has assured his colleagues that "the Conservative Party remains consistent to the commitments made before government partners, to the same extent, to the electorate who gave their vote in 2012, for a fair and correct government, a government they deserve ".
We are equally aware of the significance the yesterday's voting had for the political class. (...) I think voters want a progress in quality. I understand that. We, the PC have understood that. I can assure everyone that over the next period we will seek the best solutions and we will apply them, " Deputy PM Daniel Constantin said.
Klaus Iohannis obtained 54.50% of the votes in the second round of presidential elections, and Victor Ponta was voted by 45.49% of voters, according to partial results released Monday by BEC, after centralizing up to 99.07% of the votes.
