Liviu Dragnea yesterday officially announced his candidacy for president of the Social Democratic Party. He did it in Teleorman County, in the very party branch that put him on a high political career trajectory. Dragnea still has no opponent in the October election, after Robert Negoiţă and Şerban Nicolae withdrew from the race. Senator Nicolae will not run anymore because, in his opinion, the Congress is completely vitiated. Nicolae considers that the new election procedure is not transparent and does not offer candidates the chance of presenting their vision.
