The Bergie company forged two lease agreements. The documents were the grounds of the contract between Ioana Basescu and the Italian company.
According to documents submitted to Antena 3, the original contract between the Berfige Company and Nana was concluded for a period of five years of lease starting in 2009. Therefore, the company could sell the land only this year, 2014.
The daughter of president Traian Băsescu seems to have rushed things considering that she purchased the land in 2013.
The Berfige company wanted to modify the contract term, as the video above shows, so that the period was changed from 5 to 1 year. Moreover, there are several stamps missing from the contract.
These actions could void the transaction concluded between Ioana Basescu and the Italian company, but only a court can decide whether or not the transaction will be canceled.
The prefect of Călăraşi, George Iacob, said Wednesday that as a consequence of the above mentioned facts the property ownership title will be cancelled.
Prosecutors from the General prosecution office ordered Wednesday the onset of a criminal investigation of the Nana land purchased by President Traian Basescu after a notification sent to that effect by the Control Department of the Prime Minister.
"Following the notification sent by the Control Department of the Prime Minister, to the attention of investigators from the Criminal Division of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, a criminal case has been established whereby investigations are being carried out in connection with the reconstitution of ownership and leasing of the land located in the Nana commune, Calarasi County, "reads the press release sent Wednesday by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
The criminal prosecution targets a conflict of interest offense, abuse of office, forgery of official documents and false documents under private signature.
"In this case, prosecutors ordered today, 04/16/2014, a criminal investigation on the facts before them related to the crime of conflict of interest, abuse of office, forgery of official and false documents under private signature ", the source adds.
"In the upcoming period needed criminal investigations activities will be carried out to solve the case," the statement reads.
On April 8, the Government notified the Prosecutor on the Nana land acquisition, The Prime Minister’s Control body l claiming that 80% of the land was restituted illegally.
