Gabriel Oprea UNPR President reiterated his support for Prime Minister Victor Ponta and the government he leads.
"Total support for Victor Ponta and the current political form. Check, if you will, beyond the legends, the UNPR has never taken down a government of which it was part," Gabriel Oprea said.
"In 87% of the 69 municipalities with UNPR mayors, county mayors, municipalities, cities, communes mayors, Victor Ponta won", the UNPR President said.
He added that, on the other hand, as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Ministry's leadership, policemen, gendarmes, firefighters were on duty and fulfilled their responsibility so that the voting should express precisely the will of Romanians.
"As party leader, I too have a duty to lead the UNPR, we have a responsibility before the hundreds of thousands of party members, Romanian citizens, for our supporters and we are moving forward," Oprea added.
