The Romanian Parliament yesterday passed the new Fiscal Code which is to be promulgated by President Klaus Iohannis shortly. The head of state cannot reject this Law again, having already made use of his right to call for its reeexamination.
Once promulgated, the VAT will drop from 24 to 20 per cent on January the 1st, next year.
