UPDATE – The new Cabinet headed by Victor Ponta received Monday evening, the vote of confidence from the Parliament. Government Ponta IV was voted in parliament with 377 votes "for" and 134 "against".
"It's basically a new vote of confidence," said Prime Minister Ponta, after the outcome of the vote in Parliament. "All the measures we have proposed today before the Parliament, we will apply, but primarily there will be a change of attitude," the prime minister added.
The prime minister also said that it was time "we have a real dialogue, respect".
UPDATE –Prime Minister Victor Ponta urged lawmakers in his speech in the Parliament plenary meeting to grant the vote for the new government, to seek ways to improve the cooperation relations between Parliament and Government, including by amending the Regulations.
Ponta wants the Executive members to be able to have a better contribution in the Parliament’s works.
UPDATE – The plenary session of both Houses of Parliament for the investiture of the new cabinet headed by Victor Ponta, after UDMR has left the government began with a delay of one hour. The Prime Minister will present the new governmental structure.
Ponta IV Government ministers were heard today in the parliamentary committees, they received, most of them, the favorable opinion for the ministries they were nominated.
But there was an uncertain situation with the Minister for Romanians Abroad, Adrian Anghel, who said, coming out from the committee hearings, that he received 12 votes for and 8 against. According to committee members, he should have gotten half plus one of the votes, meaning 13 votes
Subsequently, PM Victor Ponta nominated PSD deputy Angel Tîlvãr for the office of Minister for the Romanians Abroad , replacing Adrian Anghel.
At 18.00, PM Victor Ponta comes before the reunited plenum of Parliament to ask for endorsement.

Under Chambers Regulation, the Government is vested with parliamentary majority. The vote is secret.
