President Traian Basescu said that if Victor Ponta intended to “serve justice according to his own mind", he would end up “ the roommate of Adrian Nastase", Mediafax reports.
Basescu was asked in a TV show to comment on Victor Ponta's statement that after the presidential elections justice will be served for Constantin Nicolescu.
"I believe that if he tried to serve justice according to his own mind, I think he would immediately become roommate with Adrian Nastase. I do not think that any prosecutor in Romania would tolerate interference from the president or prime minister in case files, nor would a judge. I think he would become roommate with Adrian Nastase very fast for such a an attempt ", Basescu said.
