The Social Democrat leader believes that if Iohannis wins the presidential elections, the future prime minister will be Traian Basescu.
"That's a joke. I think only Mr. Predoiu believes that, since he was the only one to believe he would be the candidate in the presidential elections. Now only he thinks he'll be prime minister. Probably Mr. Basescu will be prime minister ", Ponta said.
The current prime minister pointed out that, in his view, things cleared up on the political scene, under the circumstances where the November elections will be about the continuation of the Basescu regime or the change.
"I believe that the waters cleared, they parted, and from this point of view, people will find it very easy to know what to choose in November: the continuation of the ten years of Traian Basescu, the Iohannis, Blaga and their entire gang or the change", Ponta said.
Monday, Klaus Iohannis was nominated the candidate of the Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL) in the presidential elections and Cătălin Predoiu was nominated for the office of prime minister.
