President Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Victor Ponta have not reached a conclusion on the reduction of CAS after talks held at the Cotroceni Palace, the two were unable to conclude anything after this discussion.
"The Prime Minister presented the Government's arguments for maintaining the social security contributions at a low level in the upcoming years, and the president exposed his reservations related to the measure sustainability. The two could not reach a consensus, the President's decision is now expected" sources told MEDIAFAX.
Consultations between President Traian Basescu and the Government, represented by Prime Minister Victor Ponta and Finance Minister Ioana Petrescu on the law to reduce the CAS, held Monday at the Cotroceni Palace, lasted about 30 minutes.
