The Prime Minister feels it is not necessary to answer every time the president unfounded attacks. Ponta recalls that it is not the first time Basescu accuses someone and does not bring forth any evidence.
A year ago, the president stated that Liberal Crin Antonescu had the code name Porumbacu, Ponta added.
"I’ve given a very clear answer - I'm not. I received tougher accusations - family, private life related. I do not think it's okay to answer accusations that are not based on anything. Because, ultimately, Mr. Basescu has never presented before either, not only in my case but in the case of others. A year ago he said about Antonescu that he was the Porumbacu – he has never produced any evidence to support that.
