Romania is recording an increase of the number of HIV infected patients from year to year. In late June, our country registered 13.277 people infected, according to data from the National Union of Organizations of Persons Affected by HIV / AIDS.

About 900 people were diagnosed with the virus in 2014, and another 333 this year. And the problem is not just among those who do drugs, specialists warn.

Although the number of HIV positive people has increased dramatically, the authorities treat the phenomenon with indifference. There is just one national prevention program currently. Three information and prevention programs are developed by three NGOs.

Worldwide, there are 35.3 million people living with HIV / AIDS, while 7,000 people get infected daily.
