The campaign "Lost generation" conducted by the Antena 1 Observer, a program produced in the Antena 3 newsroom, won the silver medal in the most disputed section, "Best News Documentary / Special" in the 2015 edition of the New York Festivals - World's Best TV & Film, held in Las Vegas on April 14.
Antena 3 and the Observer had three other nominations in the grand final of the festival, two of them obtained by the most awarded TV crew from Romania, "In the premiere of Carmen Avram", and another by the strong play of news, the Antena 3 and Observer Antena 1 team: "In premiere with Carmen Avram" - " Ceausescu’s flock" (nominated in the Docudrama section) and " Mengele’s guinea pigs " (nominated for Best Editing) and Antena 1 Observer campaign "Life without blood. Donate red "(Human Interest).
The second very important moment of the most viewed and popular television news station in Romania on stage the Las Vegas festival was the invitation for the couple Mihai Gadea - Mircea Badea as hosts and presenters of the section "News & Sports". It is the second consecutive year that the two stars from Romania are designated by the organizers to present awards category.
The 2015 edition of the New York Festivals - World's Best TV & Films gathered TV productions from 159 countries, counting the most achieved and the most prestigious networks and production houses in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia. The Antena 3 productions which made it into the grand final competed with documentaries, reports and campaigns produced by channels like CNN, ESPN, NBC, TV in Japan, Singapore, Canada and Austria
This is the third consecutive year that Antena 3 is the winner in the prestigious competition, totaling up to now, due to the "In premiere with Carmen Avram" and Observer Antena 1 productions, nine medals. They add up to the awards granted in London at the AIB Annual Galas, 2011, 2012, 2013, and the national awards granted by APTR or UCIN.
