We the journalists of Antena 3 television station, the most powerful and credible media outlet in Romania, we fully assume the responsibility of making these categorical statements about the sentence imposed today by two judges of the Court of Appeal because the professional experience and expertise give us the competence to state that this case file generically called "Telepathy" is the most serious and transparent form of political dictate in justice.
The target of this public execution operation of 12 people has been from beginning to end the founder of the press trust that presently holds the number one position on the media market in Romania. Professor Dan Voiculescu was directly targeted by those who, at the Cotroceni Palace and the palaces of justice, planned and executed this condemnation of the Bolshevik type.
The final target has been to prevent the journalists of the Intact Group, especially the editorial team of the Antena 3 from continuing their journalistic investigations, from providing accurate and sharp opinions, from seeking and offering the millions of viewers who watch us every day, the TRUTH !, for the truths we utter every day, every moment, are those which helped correct injustice acts, which stopped horrible abuses and which have saved lives.
The truth being served by the Antena 3 journalist and by the trust founded by Professor Dan Voiculescu is the one that rocked the political class whenever our revelations about the scandalous facts of corruption came out in. The truth and willingness to comply with the principles and values of dignity and courage were always the reasons why we continued to do our jobs for the benefit of millions of people who have invested their trust in , notwithstanding the threats, pressures coming from outside attacks.
The judicial and political abuse that we see today has as direct victims: professor Mencinicopschi, Ms. Vica, Mr. Petre, Mr. Voiculescu, Mr. Sandu and seven other innocent people. A few days ago the abuse hit and took from her house Lady Maria from Radauti, who was picked up by the special forces. Tomorrow, anyone in this country could be a victim of these crazy manifestations of a regime that has lost control.
Precisely because we do not want such horrible acts to repeat endlessly, we stick around and fight the battle with injustice, wickedness, dictatorial slippages, to defend all those without defense. "Antena 3 is here" is not just a slogan. It is and remains the call to gather all those who cannot tolerate being trampled, having their freedom threatened, having put the fist in the mouth. Antena 3 is here for all of us, for every honest and worthy man.
