APTR, together with Antena 1 and Antena 3: „It is an outrageous action on the part of the DNA to block the voice of TV stations watched by millions of Romanians”

Television Professionals Association of Romania (APTR), the largest organization of its kind in the country, has released a statement criticizing the unbroken string of abuses committed against Antena 1 and Antena 3.

"It is apparent to any honest man that this trial’s target were Antena 1 and Antena 3, which in recent years have revealed the power abuses of Basescu’s system and of his family," the statement said.

"In 25 years since the Revolution of December this is an outrageous action of the DNA that by means of a political police they should block the voice of TV stations watched and loved by millions of Romanians", the document adds.

"We are there for the professionals in the Antennas, validated by the critical awareness of the public watching and appreciating their programs ", the press release concludes, signed by President APTR, Dan Necşulea.
