Approximately 63% of Romanians never go to the theater, according Cultural Consumption Barometer, to be presented next week, however, 47% of the population reads a book a month or more.

The National Institute for Cultural Research and Training (INCFC) launches the new edition of the "Cultural Consumption Barometer 2014 ', the most important statistical analysis of the cultural sector in Romania, the institution under the Ministry of Culture informs (MC).
The event will be held Monday, at 18.00h in the foyer of the Aula belonging to the Ministry of Culture, to mark the official opening of the Institute reports Mediafax.

The "Cultural Consumption Barometer 2014. Culture, between global and local" provides information about the dynamics of the values and practices of the Romanian society today, about how people relate to the cultural sector, becoming an essential tool in local and regional development strategies.
According to the Barometer, 24% of the Romanians consider culture as being "not very important" and 63% of the population never goes to the theater, however, 47% of the population reads a book a month or more, and 43% of Romanians visit museums once a year or less.

Detailed analyzes of the main cultural consumption habits are found in the eight chapters of the study.
