Basescu’s billionaire friend, Puiu Popoviciu, got his hands on compensation payments from the Authority for Property Restitution worth over 7 million for 3,600 square feet.
The compensation amount was set by the court and the ANRP officials will issue the compensations title. ARNP representatives argue that the file received from the City Hall proposed the granting of nearly 32 million lei according to the decision of the court.
The head of ANRP said that his institution will not provide compensation payment until the file is reviewed again by the court.
"We have not given any compensations yet. It was discussed yesterday. No decision has been taken, because many members of the committee asked for clarification,s" said George Băeşu Thursday on Antena 3.
