The only disease I am suffering from is sick of thieves, Traian Băsescu says. The head of state stated Thursday that he authorized all the ten doctors in the medical committee that conducted his annual checkup to provide information to any journalist interested in his health state.
"I am authorizing the ten doctors in the committee that was formed this year, when the annual medical checkup was performed, therefore I am publicly authorizing them to provide information to any journalist who is interested in the health state of the president," Basescu said.
“I can tell you that I have one disease, I am sick with thieves, and that is not treatable," said the president.
In response Victor Ponta says that Traian Băsescu is sick for power.
Asked to comment Basescu's statement according to which he had one disease and that was “sick with thieves," Ponta said that the President is "sick for power" and found Iohannis suffering from the same condition that of being "sick for high offices and more houses."
"I hope we won’t have so much bad luck, the entire Romania to continue the Basescu misfortune and move on to the one of Iohannis, people sick for power and high offices " Ponta said.
