Businessman Jean Valvis sheds some light in the scandal of the secret bank accounts in Switzerland after the disclosures made on the Daly Summary.
"I've never had contracts with the state nor with any political parties or local authority. The success of these operations relies entirely on prestige, product quality and Romanian consumers’ appreciation. I do not think is fair and just to have me included in the category of politicians or in that of others holding public offices.
I do have Romanian citizenship, I am Swiss and Greek citizen at the same time, and my tax residence is in Switzerland. My residence is in Geneva, where, incidentally, there are also the branches of the bank mentioned by those analyzing the SwissLeak case " Jean Valvis says.
The businessman’s name appeared in the list of millionaires, close to Mircea Geoana close, holding bank accounts in Switzerland.
