The Constitutional Court has ruled that the vote by mail can become an option in the parliamentary election next year.
This decision was made after the Democratic Union of Hungarians contested the mail voting Law passed by Parliament.
The ethnic Hungarians' political grouping upholds that the Law adopted in the Senate fails to guarantee mail voting secrecy. The draft law stipulates that mail voting is available for the parliamentary election only, as the provision allowing for this means of voting to be also used in the presidential election was removed upon the Social Democrats' proposal.
