Corneliu Vadim Tudor was buried with military honours yesterday, at the Ghencea Cememetry in Bucharest, with thousands of people attending the funeral.
Friends paid an emotional tribute to his memory in moving eulogies and there was an incredible mishap too: Corneliu Vadim Tudor's casket was laid on its side because the tomb was too small for it. Shortly afterwards, the casket was brought up for the grave to be enlarged. The family of the departed walked out of the cemetery in a state of shock.
Many of the people who bid a last farewell to the departed came from the countryside, from hundreds of miles away even.
They did not get acquainted with the flamboyant politician but they respected hin. Corneliu Vadim Tudor was buried with full military honours.
