Dan Voiculescu announced on his personal blog that he would lodge a complaint against the two judges who sentenced him to serve ten years in prison.
The plan related to this premeditated intent was to reject all requests for evidence to be produced, the approach of changing the legal classification of the offense, the criminal proceedings unduly extension by focusing on a single offense.
"I have read the judicial reasoning for the decision of 8 August by Camelia Bogdan. I thought that at least the judicial reasoning would contain direct or indirect evidence against me. Hence, I filed a criminal complaint against Camelia Bogdan and Mihai Mihalcea for the crime of unjust repression under Article 283 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code that is punishable by imprisonment from 3-10 years and deprivation of the right to hold any public office. Under the Constitution, no one can be above the law. I trust the fair judges, thanks to whom the rule of law survives in Romania. I am determined - and consistency characterizes me – to make this case be tried by the Romanian courts, as well as by those in Europe. I cannot leave everything I have accomplished in this life through honest work to be overshadowed by a great injustice (...).Judges Camelia Bogdan and Alexandru Mihai Mihalcea ordered my conviction for an offense, knowing that I was not guilty of it. In light of the procedural measures taken by the two, it is revealed the fact that they had already taken the decision to commit the offense of unjust repression and wanted to place themselves safe from any possibility this offense may not be committed, proving that they acted premeditatedly, " Professor Dan Voiculescu wrote on his personal blog.
