The winners from the New York Festivals were presented in a special edition of the Daily Summary show broadcast live from USA.
From the studio in Las Vegas, Mihai Gâdea presented the winning team of the " Premiere" show of Carmen Avram and the Observer team.
Carmen Avram made several touching comments on the awards won by Antena 3 teams and the Observer. "I would have wanted my mother to be and to see how far I’ve come", the Premiere show producer said.
"These awards are those of the Antena 3 team, I take pride in this award somehow indirectly, I am proud of the team", Carmen Avram said.
Mihai Gadea expressed his regret that Alin Romascan, Head-of-news Antena 1 and Antena 3, could not be with his team in the U.S. at the New York Festivals Awards, and thanked him for the effort and his contribution in the success of Antena 3 and the Observer.
"The 'Children are not for sale" refers to children from Bacau who were sold for $ 100,000, from Transylvania who were sold for 5,000 euros, from Muntenia who were sold for next to nothing, before they were even born. Beyond immorality of it all, the inhuman side of this situation, let’s think that we must cherish children because they are the future of our country", Andreea Berecleanu said.
Mircea Badea and Mihai Gâdea talked during the Special Edition of the Daily Summary show broadcast from the USA, about the unique moments during the New York Festivals gala ceremony, but also about the time they spent in the USA.

Denisa Morariu, reporter for the Premiere show talked about the impressive moments during the production of the report " The long way home", a footage telling the story of Petrică Câşlaru, the child abandoned in an orphanage. "I could tell how excited he was and that he was living some things that he had not imagined and that he was having some extraordinary experiences. I thought to myself what could be happening in his soul, to have the power to confront his mother and to do it in front of us. "
"Tonight my legs simply melted. (...) I looked in the room and I saw the people who have been in television when had not even started kindergarten. It was amazing! "Ioana Raduc testified.
Antena 3 and the Observer were honored with gold, silver and bronze medals at the New York Festivals of World's Best Television & Film in 2014, alongside major broadcasters in the world, in a ceremony held on April 8. Journal News Observer is produced by Antena 3.
