Daily Summary: Criminal prosecutor Emilian Eva, restitutions magnate

He is one of the most corrupt prosecutors in Romania and he has an estate of millions. It's Emilian Eva, who signed the indictment in the Telepathy case file.

Though a civil servant and without a big salary, Eva owns an empire and that not only from paintings smuggling, but also from dubious real estate transactions made in his family.
After a dubious land transaction in Dumesti, he ended up with a case file investigated by DNA. Emilian Eva also owned a land plot in Dumesti since 2001 and he had a direct interest in the case. He stolen the documents of a colleague from DNA, scanned them and forged them, trying to compromise the investigation.

The head of DNA at the time, Daniel Morar, looked the other way from this because of the ultimate argument in Eva’s locker: the Telepathy case file and he had asked for the conviction of prof. Dan Voiculescu, and for that purpose Morar was willing to forget about such things.

Another example of Emilian Eva getting rich: 22 hectares of land in the village of Dumesti that were supposed to be given to war veterans or their families came into the possession of smart guys.

Subsequently, much of the prosecutor’s wealth was assigned to his niece.
The information was presented Monday on the Daily Summary show on Antena 3.
