What Traian Băsescu did when he was mayor, after having restituted 66 houses in one day? He also restituted another 63 houses the next day. The disclosure was made Monday on the Daily Summary show on Antena 3.
Traian Basescu returned 66 houses in one day. It happened in 2003 when he was mayor of Bucharest.
The houses were restituted to a person named Nicolas Jordan, whom people say is a fraudster. He claimed to be the son of a senator who lived in the interwar period, the actual owner of the 66 houses.
Many of the people living in these homes were already evacuated last week.
Thus, for years, people living on the Serban Voda street are trying to recover their homes in court.
Marilena Aksan, tenant in a building on Serban Voda Street, is struggling for 11 years for this. Basescu signed off the retrocession of her home and of other 128 houses to Nicolas Jordan.
In just one day almost 130 buildings were returned so that the real estate mafia should work. In this way, hundreds of people were left on the street.
Marilena Aksan, appeared on Daily summary and told how documents were falsified , how land plots were overvalued and people killed in papers.
The woman whose house was restituted said she had been living there since 1968, when she was born. The house was given to her father from his work .
But, by a decision of Mayor Basescu, and with the support of clerks and magistrates, she says, many state-owned properties passed to the real estate mafia.
In her case, the house was given to Nicolas Jordan, on the name Minciulescu Iordan, the woman says. "Now there come some so-called owners to ask back their home," Marilena Aksan complains. She says that the "new owner" asked for 100-200 euros rent, if she wants to stay in the house.
Băsescu ‘s signature destroyed a family’s life.
