Dan Diaconescu stated before prosecutors that he made transactions worth millions for Marian Vanghelie, Alessandra Stoicescu showed on the "100 minutes" Tuesday.
Dan Diaconescu had allegedly promised Marian Vanghelie, at his request that he would find him a house worthy of a mayor.
"We (the employees of OTV group) have started looking for a building that would correspond to the requirements of the Vanghelie family and find it at the best price so we could add a commission to the transaction. Since I wanted to be fair-play in this transaction, I proposed Vanghelie Marian that when I have found a villa (...) he should go visit it ", Dan Diaconescu told the prosecutors.
"I’ve asked Mr. Marian Vanghelie, repeatedly, to give me the papers to go to the notary, but he kept postponing it. Eventually, he said that did not yet have the money to buy this house and he will see what he can do. (..) Eventually, he sent me the documents with a person to whom I would sell the property (...) I sent Sorin Mircea Niculae (the person who was sent to buy Vanghelie’s property) to the bank to get a loan to pay for my property, "says Dan Diaconescu's statement to the investigators.
The same indictment also says that Marian Vanghelie made gifts to Geoana's wife, on different occasions, three watches, two of them by Vacheron Constantin and one by Glashutte brand. Mircea Geoana said he did not know their value.
