Dan Voiculescu states that he intends to sue the middleman in the bribery scandal between Bercea Modial’s family and Mircea Basescu.
Voiculescu says in a blog posting entitled The ridicule does not hurt that he intends to ask Marian Căpăţână $ 100,000 in compensation after he stated that Dan Voiculescu would be behind the bribery scandal involving President Basescu’s family.
Moreover, Voiculescu has already stated that he filed a request to the Chairman of the Court of Appeal asking for a copy of the testimony given in court by Căpăţână, needed to initiate legal action against the latter.
The request reads:
Dear Madam President,
I was informed that the media published a series of reports according to which the defendant Căpăţână allegedly stated before the Court of Appeal that I gave a 1 million euro to Florin Anghel to compromise Traian Basescu.
Given the seriousness of these allegations, I kindly ask you to release me a copy of the testimony given before court by Marian Căpăţână , which I need to initiate a legal action against it.
