Director General of the Romanian Lottery, Adrian Manolache, resigned, but he will remain in office until May 8, according to sources, Mediafax reports .
Manolache has been Lottery Director since the spring of 2013.
Romanian Lottery is being prosecuted for carrying unlicensed gambling activities with the slot-machine in the period 2006-2014, in this case the damages exceed 100 million, according to the Prosecutor of the Court of Appeal.
In a press release sent out Wednesday the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Court of Appeal announced that it has begun the prosecution of the Romanian National Lottery Company for carrying gambling activities unlicensed or without a permit.
