Unprecedented corruption in Romania, discovered in the ALRO business. Three judges in Romania are talking about serious abuses, and the documents show that the President violated the Constitution.

The disclosure was made Monday on the Daily Summary show on Antena 3.

Documents that have been buried for years now show the links, abuses and how a powerful interest group, a group of oligarchs in Russia, makes a very clever plan to get their hands on all the aluminum factories in Eastern Europe.

The Russians are thinking about how to disguise this operation and, therefore, they establish some companies in Israel and in two other countries.

It all started in 1999. A decision of our government shows that, as incredible as it may sound, there was only one man empowered to decide how to use state institutions for some strategic privatizations.

That person, who empowered himself to do so - a government decision, a decision to be made with the World Bank - is Traian Basescu.

As it happened Theodor Stolojan was working for the World Bank at the time and Theodor Stolojan had some shares in a company that was in close contact with Alro.

Another name involved in this business is that of Valeriu Stoica, who provided legal counsel for Alro.

Moreover, part of the information in these files is classified.

The three magistrates in Romania, respectively Angela Ciurea, Ciprian Nastasiu and Eugen Iacobescu, claim that this file contain unprecedented corruption actions.

If initially, the figure circulated was of 4 million, a Romanian magistrate , Eugen Iacobescu said that actually 10 million were given. The bribe was allegedly given by the Russians from ALRO and taken by the people who were negotiating.

The money were given in a hotel in Romania, where Elena Udrea and Theodor Stolojan were present as well.

Magistrate Ciurea claims that you cannot conduct an investigation when they reach people at high level. She said she was called to the office by her superior, Laura Codruţa Kovesi, who asked her to stop the investigation.

In the video below you can see the government decision countersigned by Traian Băsescu, the Minister of Transport.

Why ALRO should not have been privatized

HG 563 of July 15, 1999 approving the National Strategy for privatization for the year 1999, provided the restructuring of large companies registering loses, ALRO did not fall into this category, as of 1998, the company made considerable profits.

Therefore, ALRO could not fit in this privatization campaign, because it had been profitable for the past six years.

Moreover, according to HG 1133 of 15 November 2001, the privatization strategy of ALRO Slatina became secret.
