Every Romanian will take 2 Euros out of their pocket to pay for the maintenance of the protocol villas. See how much the buildings maintenance costs
RAPPS spends annually fabulous amounts of money on the high officials villas. The maintenance of such buildings alone will cost this year more than EUR 40 million, according Gandul.info. Another EUR 40 million will be spent by RA-APPS, this year, on expensive furniture, security and cleaning services.

A simple calculation shows that every Romanian will get out of his pocket this year 2 Euros for the maintenance of the RAAPPS protocol villas. In total, EUR 40 million. Another EUR 40 million will be spent on protocol meals and activities, cleaning and security services for the state buildings. For example, the heating and the hot water in the Neptune pool where Traian Basescu spent his May 1vacation , costs EUR 430,000.

For the maintenance of villas that have been empty for years, the state wastes huge amounts too. The Scrovistea Palace alone costs EUR 188,000 although no official has set foot in it for the last eight years..The money is spent on diesel necessary for heating , water, electricity, security and staff.

In addition, RA- APP S intends to renovate some buildings this year, replacing the flooring and the electrical wiring. It all costs so much. For example, the state company has awarded a contract to procure outlets, neon lights and light bulbs worth 152,000 Euros. They have already bought paints and thinners worth 271,000 Euros and cleaning service worth 528,000 Euros.

On the other hand, RA APPS fails to recover the debts from the tenants, the journalists also write. They amounts EUR 20 million.

In 2010, the Boc Government raised the rents, under the pretext that illegal tenants would be forced to leave in this way. The outcome is that they have refused to pay their bills and are suing the state.
