The second day of the "George Enescu" International Festival featured two outstanding concerts at the Palace Hall. **** The main events were Schonberg's First Chamber Symphony and Bruckner's Symphony No.8 performed by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by famous director Zubin Mehta. The Romanian Athenaeum hosted recitals and chamber concerts yesterday. The Festival got underway on Sunday evening and, for 22 days in a row, classical music lovers will delight in hearing George Enescu's works played by the greatest symphony orchestras in the world.
