Former director of SRI, George Maior provided info on the meeting he had with Elena Udrea after the emergence of the pictures taken in Paris. The discussion took place on the premises of SRI, as Maior said.
"I had a discussion with Mrs. Udrea, and clarified many things. It was not a warning, in the context of a presidential campaign, she was a presidential candidate, I think it is sometimes important to communicate these things. I had a discussion with her , at the headquarters of SRI. I'll talk to anyone and it is normal to do this, as director, I consider and evaluate whether there is an interest of the service from that perspective. I would not want to comment more, but there is always an intrest of the Service in it, " Maior said.
The topic was debated during the Sunday edition of the program News Magazine, on Antena 3.
Daniel Savu, former SRI officer, explained that the pictures of Elena Udrea and Alina Bica in Paris were taken by "private people" and he cannot understand what George Maior did exactly.
"Those pictures were taken by private people, the services have not taken responsibility for any of it, nor the SRI, it had nothing to look for in a foreign country, I understand that SIE was not involved either, but prosecutors were the beneficiaries. There are three ladies, one of which looked into the camera, I said that she knew. It means that Mr. Maior wants there to be a sort of balance.
