According to an expert report, the fire in the club Collective was nearly seven times more violent than normal because of a crack in the ventilating system which broke when the fire started, a document obtained by Mediafax reads.
The report shows that the Collective club had two operational ventilation systems, an aspirant one, taking out the smoke inside and another one for the intake of fresh air. On the night of October 30, seconds after the fire ignited, the aspirant ventilation failed and the system which remained in operation brought in oxygen that fueled the flames.
"The ventilation system had a decisive role in the aerodynamics regime during the burning process in the Collective club. The turmoil become more pronounced because of the fan for the intake of fresh air single use, while there was a high calorific pressure inside, " the experts note.
