President Klaus Iohannis reiterated Tuesday at the 2014 annual report presentation by the DNA, the idea that the Parliament should no longer oppose the investigation of its members.
Regarding the work of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), Iohannis said that the institution is doing its job effectively, and "worked at full speed in 2014”.
The head of state said in a speech at the DNA annual report presentation that the damage recovery is "mandatory not optional for the authorities" and that the current situation, with a degree of damages recovery and enforcement by the Ministry of Finance of approximately 10% , " is unacceptable".
"I could not end this speech without referring to two important issues that became recurrent lately: the recovery of damages and the resources of the anti-corruption prosecution office.
