Astra Insurance company has been officially declared bankrupt.
The Financial Supervisory Authority made this decision on account of the many issues reported by the afore-mentioned Romanian insurance company.
The car insurance policies issued by Astra are to be covered by the State Guaranty Fund.
Astra is the third largest car insurer in Romania with two an a half million contracts signed by almost 1.8 million people.
