Justice Minister Robert Cazanciuc, said Wednesday that, in his view, Prime Minister Victor Ponta has no reason to resign.
"I talked to Prime Minister Ponta today. As I said last time, we spoke a few days ago. I saw the news feeds that he returned to the Government today. I can only be happy about this," Robert Cazanciuc said Wednesday.
Asked about the fact that there are public discussions about a possible resignation of the Prime Minister, Cazanciuc replied: "Like I said, from my point of view, I believe that Prime Minister Ponta has no reason to resign."
Victor Ponta is prosecuted in the Turceni - Rovinari case for forgery of private documents, complicity to tax evasion and repeated money laundering, while he worked as a lawyer.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta arrived Wednesday at Victoria Palace, he returned from Turkey where, on June 16, he had a knee operation.
