A document from an intelligence service file from 1989 was presented exclusively on Monday, during the Daily Summary show on Antena 3.

It is a receipt from 1989, whereby the amount of 20,000 lei appears to have been paid and which entered into the possession of the Romanian counterintelligence services, and those who remitted the money were caught. The receipt is signed by Laszlo Tokes.

In Romania of 1989, a salary of 3,000 lei was a big one, so the sum of 20,000 lei was a huge one. Laszlo Tokes, Hungarian secret service agent.

Ioan Talpeş, former head of SIE, stated for adevărul.ro, that Laszlo Tokes is an agent of the Hungarian secret police.

Tokes has become vice president of the European Parliament and Talpeş argues that the Romanian political police knew that Laszlo Tokes was a Hungarian agent.

During the last European elections, UDMR took him out from its lists, his supporters had gotten few, and he ran for the EP on behalf of Hungary.

He was vice-president on behalf of Romania for 5 years, being supported by the presidential party the PDL and the UDMR.

Moreover, on December 17 2009, the president of Romania Traian Băsescu decorated Laszlo Tokes with the National Order Star of Romania "as a sign of great appreciation for the courage and dignity he proved launching by personal example the historic of the Romanian people against the communist regime".

Then, on June 15, 2010, Tokes has been elected one of the 14 vice-presidents of the European Parliament.

Laszlo Tokes was appointed Chairman of the Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin Autonomy Board in 2011, the UDMR leadership sanctioned him with a written reprimand.

Therefore, Tokes was removed from the organization and became a supporter of the Hungarian Civic Union.

In July 2010, President Traian Basescu thanked Tokes for the support granted in the presidential election.
