Elena Ceausescu’s  jewelry or  Nicolae Ceauşescu’s watches can be admired in Constanta. Clothing, crafts objects or paintings are exhibited at the Museum of Art before being auctioned next weekend.

Elena Ceausescu was an elegant woman and her relatives say that she possessed an enviable wardrobe. Dark cloths, always classic, refined and well designed. One of her  favorite pieces was a fur coat that will be auctioned.

Nicolae Ceausescu gathered over time luxury items and some of them will be auctioned. For example, a Tressa watch with an estimate between 4500 and 6500 euros, which belonged to the former dictator.

Connoisseurs say, however, that price is not the most important aspect.

The  communist leader Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej makes no exception. On his 50 years anniversary, he was given a present - a cup - that is worth no less than 20,000 euros.

Besides these objects full of history and value, another 100 original paintings of Romanian painters will be auctioned.

The auction will take place in Mamaia this weekend. Until then, the items are exhibited at the Art Museum of Constanta.
